Medford Knife & Tool has become well-known for producing high-quality pocket knives out of Arizona, USA. A majority of their designs are characterized by having large and beefy frames. The M-48, however, strays from that norm, as it boasts a very thin frame while being much more lightweight. Still made in the USA from some of the highest-grade materials, the M-48 may not be Medfords typical go-to design, but it surely does make for an incredible everyday carry folder. 

Coming in at 8.5" while open, these guys have a long and slender profile and a minimalistic design with a straight-spined handle. Speaking of the handle, the M-48 does still include a titanium integral frame lock handle as with most Medford knives. The face side of the handle, however, is given an aluminum scale which offers extra grip and some personality.

The aluminum scale on this specific knife we have is anodized blue. To add even more flair, all of the hardware, not including the pocket clip, has been flamed, giving it a purplish tint. The blade on the Medford M-48 comes in at 3.9" long, in a drop point style. This specific model has a tumbled satin finished blade made with CPM-S45VN stainless steel. 

This specific Medford Knife & Tool M-48 that we have in stock at The Two Loons is indeed pre-owned, but is in what appears to be like new condition. There does not appear to be any noticeable blemishes on the handle, blade, or even the pocket clip. The titanium handle has been given a factory tumbling, so it's difficult to tell if there are any aftermarket scratches, but I believe there not to be. The action on this M-48 is smooth, but still definitely has some room to be worked in. This knife comes with all of its original packaging.
