Myerchin Folding Marlin Spike Pocket Knife Pre-Owned & Used - Satin 440 Stainless Steel Partially Serrated Sheepsfoot Blade & Wood Handle w/ Steel Bolsters | Made in Japan

To be honest, I had trouble finding information on this exact model knife. What I do know is that it is a folding Myerchin knife with a lockable marlin spike. Most to all models I can find info on are Gen 2, with the whale logo appearing on the show side of the blade. They all also have notches in the handle that act like finger grooves. This knife that we have at The Two Loons has the whale logo on the reverse side of the blade and does not feature any finger grooves. My assumption is that this is a Gen 1 Myerchin, but I could be wrong. I also am unsure which model this knife is, but if I were to guess it is a Denali Gen 1 with wooden handle scales. What type of wood they are, I am unsure. 

This knife features a 440 stainless steel blade with partial serrations in a sheepsfoot style. On the reverse side of the blade is an engraved whale, along with the number "19871". The blade locks open and can be closed by swinging and pushing the attached shackle at the butt. The same goes for the attached marlin spike. 

The condition of this Myerchin is used, but still has plenty of life left. The most noticeable signs of wear on it are some scratches on the bolsters. I would assume that the knife has been used to cut, but the edge actually appears to be in pretty great shape. The wood handle scales are also a bit worn, but nothing to terrible. The marlin spike also has some scratches here and there. This knife comes with a Myerchin Marine Classics black Velcro nylon pouch.
