Many a knife-fan may be more familiar with the Paysan as a Spyderco production, designed by the beloved Peter Rassenti. However, many have yet to get their hands on his own hand-made product, which is what we have here. Made in Canada, the Peter Rassenti Custom Paysan 2.0 is extremely similar to the Spyderco production models, but was made with a ton of attention to detail and at a much more limited rate. 

The Paysan 2.0 is on the smaller side, but this gives it an uber-comfortable feel in-hand. At just about 7" while open, this guy is the perfect size for one handed operation, and if you're planning on using it, the size will prove to be great for repetitive handling. The single-piece milled titanium handle on the Paysan 2.0 is really where it makes itself stand out. Lightweight but super durable, the handle is given jimping and finger grooving in all the right places, ensuring the knife sits safely in the palm of your hand.

The blade is a signature Rassenti sheepfoot style, coming in at 3.125" and being made with the incredible CTS-XHP stainless steel. With a hollow grind, this guy is ready to tackle anything you put in its way, all while looking fantastic while doing so. The operation on this knife is superb. The blade easily flicks open due to the Spyderco-esque round thumb hole, and closing it up with the integral titanium frame lock is a piece of cake. 

The shape of this Rassenti Paysan 2.0 is in just about as close to brand-new condition as it gets. After a thorough inspection, there are no obvious signs of wear, scratches, nicks, or discoloration. The box has some scuffs around it, but the knife itself looks like it may have never once been carried, let alone used. I am not sure what the knife originally came with inside of the box, but currently there is only the knife and a piece of paper/bubble wrap, and no information or product cards.
